Following the death of Professor Jason Arday, there has been an outpouring of love, emotion and solidarity from across the academic community.
 
We are mindful in this moment of the impact this has on Black academics, staff, and colleagues of Jason who are underrepresented and continue to face racism and exclusion in education. He was an inspiration for so many.
 
Jason was also an inspiration to our autistic colleagues, and we know so many of you are hurting and feel vulnerable right now.
 
This condolences book offers us all the chance to share our memories of Jason, share how we are feeling and share love, solidarity and compassion towards Jason’s family.
 
In the coming months we will use your contributions to create an online book which we will share publicly. We will also ensure the family receive physical copies so they know just how much Jason was loved and respected by our community.
